SHINING THEIR BRIGHT LIGHT
We couldn’t be more proud of Xia + Ethan and how they have such compassion and empathy for others. Children’s Hospital holds a special place in our family’s hearts for the amazing way they’ve continued to care for our kids in the most trying of times, through heart surgeries, stitches, car accidents and more. And in their time at Children’s, Xia + Ethan have realized two things – first, the true kindness of complete strangers and second, just how many sick kids exist.
Because of these things, they have chosen to give back this year by having a Shine-A-Light birthday party on Saturday, October 25th. So in addition to a super fun day at the park with all of their friends, Xia + Ethan have requested the following as far as gifts…
FOR OTHERS...
If you'd like to bring a gift, they'd love for you to choose one from the list below that they can deliver to Children's Hospital for other sick kids. After the time they've both spent there, they chose to use this birthday to give back.
FOR THEM...
If you'd still like to bring Xia and/or Ethan something, they would love it if you please just bring them $5 so they can each save up for one nice thing. Paying it forward to the kids at Children's Hospital is most important to them.
FOR YOU...
They hope to share the joy of shining a light on others with you. They both want to spread happiness to the kids that spend so much of their lives at Children's Hospital...giving them something to look forward to + smile about.
They can’t wait for you to join them in this effort. Thank you for being such a good friend to our kids. They value every one of their buddies and thus, have patiently waited several months in order to have a party where they could invite ALL of you this year.
Come celebrate Xia + Ethan’s (belated) birthdays on Saturday, October 25th from 11am–4pm at Central Park at the Farm! [6490 S Telluride St, Aurora] From the playground to the GaGa Ball court to the soccer field, basketball court and more, they want to run, kick, shoot, jump and play with all of their friends together this year.
We will provide hot dogs, snacks, drinks + birthday cake for everyone. Please be sure to bring your kiddos’ water bottles and any extra soccer/basketballs, etc. that you’d like.
All siblings are welcome! Please RSVP below by October 20th with how many adults + kids your group will have.

We’ll have soccer goals set up on the open field by the playground. We’re also bringing a GaGa ball – the SOLE reason the kids picked this location! We’ll have some basketballs, too. There is a bathroom at the park, plenty of parking + benches.
